New Paint Booth Installation - July 2012
TASCA Tankers have recently installed an 18 metre paintbooth at our Wakefield site. The new facility is part of our
continuing expansion
program and brings the manufacturing process under one roof, making
TASCA Tankers Ltd a "one stop shop" for tanker builds.

TASCA Tankers Ltd and Maidment 2012 Ltd at the FPS Show - April 2012
2012 was a bumper year for TASCA Tankers at the Federation of Petroleum Suppliers annual show in Harrogate,
with our largest ever presence, having 7 vehicles in attendance. Taking pride of place at the entrance to the main hall, the star of the
show was a TASCA built vehicle commissioned by Carnegie Fuels Limited, a Scania G480 6x2 rear lift / steer prime mover and close
coupled tri-axle drawbar trailer, with 5 compartment 20,000 litre capacity and 3 compartment 15,000 litre capacity ADR section
aluminium tanks respectively, designed for operation at 44 Tonnes G.C.W
At the rear of the second hall TASCA Tankers exhibited a
DAF FALF55.250 4x2, 4 compartment, 14,000 litres capacity road tanker in Tate Fuel Oils livery, and a Scania P320 DB6x2MNA rear
lift, 5 compartment, 20,000 litres capacity road tanker in Nicholl (Fuel Oils) Ltd livery.
Following TASCA Tankers’ recent takeover of Maidment Tankers, the two companies presented a joint stand, with a vehicle
displayed apiece. From TASCA Tankers, a DAF FANLF55.280 6x2 rear steer, narrow track vehicle, with a 4 compartment, 16,000
litre ADR section aluminium tank; and from the newly branded Maidment 2012 concern, a Volvo FES 6x2 rear lift / steer, with a 4
compartment, 18,000 litre capacity stainless steel tank.
TASCA vehicles were also present on other stands, Scania chose to display a
Scottish Fuels liveried 8x2 rear lift / steer, 5 compartment, 25,000 litre capacity road tanker in the outdoor exhibition area, and
TASCA Tankers were proud to display as part of Gulf Aviation’s stand with a Mercedes Econic 6x2 aircraft refueller vehicle.
Some unusual exhibits presented by TASCA Tankers included a table and chair arrangement fabricated from tanker spare
parts, and a highly detailed 1:24th scale replica of a TASCA Tanker.
TASCA Tankers acquisition fuels further growth - January 2012
Wakefield-based manufacturer TASCA Tankers is on track for further expansion in the UK and overseas after acquiring the business
and assets of Maidment Tankers in West Sussex out of administration. Established in 1995 and now employing 100 staff on the
Diamond Business Park, TASCA Tankers makes tankers to transport liquids including fuel, oil and water for a wide-range of
industries. The company’s sales turnover has increased from £4.6m in 2009 to an estimated £7m in 2011 and staff levels have risen
by 50% - to 60 - during the same period. Neil Large, partner at hlw Keeble Hawson Solicitors - one of the region's biggest practices
with offices in Leeds, Sheffield and Doncaster - and Lyndsey Shaw of Sterling Corporate Finance acted for TASCA Tankers
TASCA is commissioned by customers including Otley-based Tate Fuel Oils, Peak Fuels from Derbyshire and UK fuels and lubricants
distributor GB Oils. Its export drive has resulted in orders from Eastern Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The Maidment base in
Littlehampton will continue to provide a sales, service, commercial painting and repair facility. Plans are in the pipeline to further
boost the Wakefield workforce by around 20 new recruits this year, in addition to the company’s annual commitment to taking on
three new apprentices from Wakefield College. Said TASCA Tankers’ Shaun Harte, who joined the business in 2009: “With a
steadfast reputation for quality and service in the South of England, which mirrored TASCA’s reputation in the North, it was a natural
move for TASCA to acquire Maidment from the administrator.“ “I’m impressed at the speed and efficiency with which Neil and
Lyndsey facilitated and concluded the purchase and am looking forward to driving TASCA Tankers forward as a debt-free business
with a strong reputation.” Added Neil Large: “TASCA’s track record is testimony to its quality-driven ethos and world-class
manufacturing techniques. The company’s growth and innovation during the challenging backdrop of the last years, coupled with
the Maidment development, leverages its position as a leading player in its field which is proud of its Yorkshire roots.”
